Amplified: Art, Music, Power invited artists to reflect on how music exists as a form of expression, as an experience, and as the soundtrack of our memories. Throughout the exhibition, personal stories of the artists and jurists are told through artwork, performance, anecdotes, and ephemera. In creating this rich multimedia experience, the National Liberty Museum hopes to spark dialogues about vital freedoms of expression and assembly, and the challenges of censorship, appropriation, and exploitation.

The artists for the exhibition were selected from a national call by a panel of jurists that included: Robert Drake, writer and DJ for WXPN-FM; Zindzi Harley, independent curator and founder of the online culture hub Zindzine; John Morrison, writer, DJ and host of Culture Cypher Radio (WXPN-FM); Robert Perry, owner of the legendary bar Tattooed Mom; and Melissa Ziobro, Curator at the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music.
